Vision
Our mission
With innovation and technological advancement, we are creating a future where clean, reliable, and affordable energy comes directly from the ocean. This is not only sustainable but also essential. Our goal is to unlock the full potential of ocean energy, thereby taking a major step towards a carbon-neutral world. In doing so, we place great importance on respecting nature and supporting its regeneration. We don’t just think differently – we act differently.

Idea
Clean energy
HOPP is a groundbreaking, self-sufficient wave energy harvesting system composed of multiple scalable units that can be integrated into both existing and new offshore installations. By intelligently utilizing ocean waves, HOPP increases area utilization and contributes to the protection and preservation of marine biotopes. This results in base-load capable, weather-independent offshore power plants that efficiently harness wind and wave resources.
Facts
Redefine offshore systems
The global demand for offshore energy expansion is increasing rapidly. Nine European governments set ambitious expansion targets for the North Sea in April 2023: 120 GW by 2030 and even 300 GW by 2050.
To achieve these goals, significant changes and realistic solutions are inevitable. After 14 years of research, development and testing, we can present HOPP – the Hybrid Offshore Power Plant – offering an innovative approach of utilizing wind and wave energy resource in a novel truly hybrid system.
Two completely autark systems create a weather independent power plant. Existing offshore windparks are retrofittable. Full scalability is given by integrating standard floating wave energy grids within offshore wind parks and connected to the wind turbines feed-in points.

HOPP functionality
Performance
With a baseload capable HOPP we can meet the urgent need for economical, ecological and resource-saving energy generation.
HOPP
We do
- We increase the efficiency of offshore wind assets and make them base-load capable
- We are compatible and easy to integrate within existing and new offshore parks
- We reduce wave heights hence loads on offshore structures
- We add artificial structures and establish new ecosystems which fosters biodiversity
Facts
We make
Our simple yet intelligent design reduces system risks and enables low maintenance cost for both systems by allowing maintenance work to be combined.
The safety distance to the wind turbines is maintained by an anchoring system.
With network shape and scalability, we ensure safe access for service ships while reducing peak loads with delivering continuous power supply.
HOPP
We protect
By using wave energy with our system, it is possible to reduce the wind farm´s footprint while maintaining the same output.
In addition to reducing the offshore area, our system structure is perfect for restoring natural ecosystems. We completely avoid the use of toxic oils and other pollutants.
